Students at Coral Glades High School in Broward County were given a quiz last Friday about the confessed-shooter of the Feb. 14 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The quiz included questions about the death penalty and quotes from student activists like Cameron Kasky, who founded the March For Our Lives movement. It sparked outrage among parents and students.

And Broward County’s new Supervisor of Elections is Peter Antonacci. Governor Rick Scott suspended former Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes and appointed Antonacci, but Snipes is challenging the suspension. WLRN Broward County Reporter Caitie Switalski has been following both stories and joined Sundial.

Banksy is a world renowned artist whose identity remains anonymous. The art world was shocked in October when someone bought his “Girl With Balloon” for $1.4 million at Sotheby’s Auction House in London and then, upon purchase, the painting destroyed itself with a shredder built into the frame of the painting. Now, Banksy’s former manager Steve Lazarides has brought a controversial unauthorized exhibit to Miami called “The Art of Banksy.” Although Miami Art Week might be over, the exhibit is sticking around until Feb. 28. Lazarides joined Sundial to address concerns regarding the Bansky exhibit.

Books & Books is an institution in South Florida, with numerous locations stretching across the region. Mitchell Kaplan started the business 36 years ago in Coral Gables and has seen dramatic changes in the market through the advent of internet sales. Mitchell joined Sundial to talk about the evolution of his business, the changes in the literary market and the Sundial Book Club.
