A severe thunderstorm, which impacted most of South Florida, downed a large oak tree in Boca Raton near Northwest 2nd Avenue and Northeast 20th Street Sunday, April 11, 2021.

It was a wild weather Sunday in South Florida, and more storms are in the forecast Monday morning.

A marine warning was in effect early Monday, with thunderstorms, winds up to 30 mph, and waterspouts possible off the coast. A significant weather advisory was issued for southeastern Palm Beach County until 7:45 a.m., according to the National Weather Service Miami.

Over the weekend, the winds were strong enough to uproot huge trees and send beach tents flying across the sand.
