President Donald Trump has done what so many New Yorkers have done before him — and upped sticks for the Sunshine State.
Trump, born in Queens and proud of his image as a savvy Manhattan real estate mogul, made his Florida move official in September when he filed papers in Palm Beach County Court saying his “permanent home” is his Mar-a-Lago resort. First lady Melania Trump filed a similar papers.
“I hereby declare that my above described residence and abode in the state of Florida constitutes my predominant and principal home and I intend to continue it permanently, as such,” states the form, called a “Declaration of Domicile.”
