President Donald Trump signed his Cuba policy directive at the Manuel Artime Theater in Miami on June 16, 2017.

The United States will add Cuba back to its list of states accused of sponsoring terrorism in one of the Trump administration’s last foreign policy decisions before leaving office, a senior administration official told McClatchy.

The decision will be announced later on Monday, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the decision has not yet been publicly announced.

President Donald Trump’s advisers have been weighing whether to return Cuba to the list for some time.
