Key West Film Festival

The 14th Key West Film Festival kicks off on Wednesday, featuring over 20 features and shorts, from student and independent films through to Florida-based documentaries and major international productions. Organizers say the festival's location makes it more than just a site for film screenings and awards, but a place for a community to be found.

The filmmaker, known for her documentaries about "visionaries challenging the status quo," is the only director to have won the Sundance Film Festival’s Grand Jury Prize twice, for DIG! and WE LIVE IN PUBLIC.
