Layla Jaime
WLRN InternLayla Jaime is a student journalist, arts advocate, and civic leader from Miami-Dade County. She is a high school senior at the School for Advanced Studies, where she serves as editor-in-chief of the yearbook following six years of being involved in student journalism.
As president of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools District Student Government Association, Layla represents student voices across the nation's third-largest school district. She also leads The Museum Project, expanding access to opportunities for young people to create, experience, and share art and culture throughout South Florida.
Her work reflects a passion for local storytelling and empowering young people to engage with their communities.
