The arctic blast forecast to invade South Florida this weekend is expected to drop temperatures to the lowest point in a dozen years.
“This is a very strong cold front. We haven’t seen these types of cold temperatures in over a decade,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Paxton Fell.
Early Friday, the Weather Service issued a freeze watch for portions of South Florida, including the interior sections surrounding Lake Okeechobee, western Palm Beach County, and western Broward County.
