Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Charged With Soliciting Prostitution In South Florida

Associated Press
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft listens as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell answers questions during a news conference during preparations for the NFL Super Bowl 51 football game Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017.

Robert Kraft, owner of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, faces charges of soliciting another to commit prostitution after an investigation into prostitution and human trafficking at a strip mall day spa.

The Jupiter Police Department announced he would be charged with two counts after being caught on video at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa, where an investigation snared more than two dozen people. Police say Kraft will receive a notice in the mail if he lives in Palm Beach County. If he is outside the county, Kraft would receive a warrant for his arrest. Police said the State Attorney's Office is working on the warrant.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Kraft said they “categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further,” according to the Associated Press.
