Florida’s Board of Governors on Friday scrapped a year-old rule that let its chair sign off on presidential finalists before they are sent for votes by university trustees — a policy critics said vested too much power in one individual.

All twelve of Florida’s public universities will be subject to an independent review and audit under the task force.
