The City of Miami is considering the sale of the historic Olympia Theater to Sports Leadership and Management (SLAM), a charter school network founded by Pitbull. The theater, which first opened in 1926, was only recently re-opened after five years of maintenance. SLAM plans to use the property as a school auditorium. The sale requires a 4/5 vote of the commission to be approved.
