9pm JERICHO - Drama - In the Yorkshire Dales in the 1870s, the shantytown of Jericho is the home of a community that will live, thrive and die in the shadow of the viaduct they've been brought together to build.
Things are looking up for Jericho with the success of the new quarry. However, Johnny fires Coates. Intending to quarry their own stone, a mine is constructed. During an inspection and subsequent cave-ins, Johnny, Charles, and Dagger are trapped. Coates has Davey Sharpe get gunpowder from the store using a key he had. The gunpowder effects a rescue but Charles is badly injured and Isabella needs Johnny's help to run the business. Annie is not happy but refuses Johnny's offer of marriage. Davey Sharpe asks Coates why he had a key to the gunpowder store. Later that evening as Davey walks to his wedding he is shot.
10pm NEW TRICKS: Only The Brave - Comedy/Crime Drama
The UCOS team reinvestigate the murder of Eddie Chapman, leader of a notorious criminal motorbike gang, the Braves, when new evidence is brought to them by an unlikely source. Pullman is also forced to reassess her position when an old colleague investigating the criminal activities of the Braves suggests she is wasting her career on unsolved and cold cases.
