The Miami Book Fair International has announced some of the names in its lineup of authors.
Punk poet Patti Smith will kick off the fair’s 32nd edition, which runs from Nov. 15-22 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus. Smith will discuss her latest memoir “M Train” on Nov. 15 in MDC’s Chapman Conference Center.
The fair will be releasing more names throughout the summer and early fall.

Luther Campbell
Born in Liberty City, Campbell (also known as rap star Uncle Luke) will discuss his memoir “The Book of Luke: My Fight for Truth, Justice, and Liberty City” (co-written with Tanner Colby). The book came out Tuesday, Aug. 4.
NPR’s Weekend Edition aired an interview with Campbell on Sunday.
Jennine Capó Crucet
Crucet also recently released her debut novel, “Make Your Home Among Strangers.” Her first published work, “How to Leave Hialeah,” was a collection of short stories that won the Iowa Short Fiction Prize. “Make Your Home Among Strangers” takes place near the end of 1999 in the backdrop of events inspired by Elián Gonzalez. The main character, Lizet, is a college student who leaves home to attend the fictional Rawlings College.

Jane Smiley
The Pulitzer Prize-winning author comes to Miami to talk about the third part of her “Hundred Years” trilogy.
The novelist comes to Miami with the third part of her “Hundred Years” trilogy, which begins on a family farm in 1920. The books follow this family and future generations for 100 years.
David Axelrod
Obama’s senior adviser shares his story in “Believer: My Forty Years in Politics.” Axelrod left Chicago journalism to pursue a career as a political strategist. Spanning forty years, the memoir takes readers behind the scenes when Obama was dealing with the economic crisis and health care reform.
Gary Snyder
The book fair also features its share of poets, such as Gary Snyder. He will be discussing his latest collection “The Present Moment: New Poems.”
