PolitiFact's review of clips and photos used in the Lincoln Project’s ad shows it used real footage and photographs of former President Donald Trump. The clips were not generated using AI.

There is wide consensus among climate scientists, scientific associations and institutions that climate change is real and primarily caused by humans burning fossil fuels. But several signatories were in other fields or were deceased.

A deepfake video showing DeSantis dropping out of the 2024 presidential race was first shared by an X account that made it clear it was manipulated. But then another account shared the video without that same disclosure and said it was "breaking news."

There is no proof that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was arrested July 25. He was in a car crash the same day but was uninjured.

The message spoken in the ad accurately reflects what Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social, but he did not speak those words himself.
